Products by designer
People-focused design begins with people-focused designers. We partner with experts in creating products that meet human needs.
In 1989, after decades working in furniture design, Roger Webb founded Webb Associates a design consultancy based in London. Today, Roger still leads the firm, but now is joined by fellow designers David Lancaster and Tony DaCosta. Webb Associates are known for their ergonomic expertise and carefully tailored design solutions. Our partnership with Roger and his team has produced some of our favorite product lines, such as Kaleid, Fleet, Hydra, Ezel, Genus, Heya, LeanTo, Obeya, and Kasura by OFS and Hug by Carolina.
Chris and Jon Panichella lead the industrial design portion of Achella Design - a multidisciplinary studio representing the collaborative efforts of Chris, Alyssa and Jon Panichella. While their primary focus is furniture and graphic design, they have helped clients find solutions in diverse industries from medical devices to retail and exhibit design.
In lieu of an overarching design philosophy, Achella Design prefers to focus on authentic collaborations between the client, the intent of the project, and the end user. Their goal is to tailor market solutions that perfectly blend their design sensibilities with the brands they create them for. With this honest approach Achella Design creates honest solutions.
Beck & Beck Design Associates
For a product to be truly successful, Marcel and Rita Beck believe it must enhance and promote the company for which it was developed. That’s why before creating their design firm, the pair attended furniture design shows across the world, finding inspiration and building knowledge about the diversity of people and industries they would serve. In 1992, they brought back their experience to establish Beck+Beck Design associates. Their international sensibility still influences each of their contract and residential designs today.
This collaboration between Iris Dates and Linda Porter Bishop brought together many years of extensive healthcare experience. Together, the pair created several pieces that balance elegance and functionality, basing their approach on the belief that furniture and space itself can comfort and heal. Research with nurses and medical staff allowed them to build in practical, intuitive details like wall protection, bumper-rails and cleanouts. While each designer has been recognized in their field for their individual accomplishments, the designs they created together for the healthcare market have received worldwide accreditation and awards.
Los Angeles-based designer David Dahl has been making pieces for residential clients for almost 25 years. Raised in Kent, Ohio, David brings together Midwestern ideals with a coastal influence in each of his designs. Attention to detail and passion for craft have distinguished David’s designs in the industry. In 1992, David opened Dahl Furniture, contracting work for many contract manufacturers. David is known for his versatility, quality, and belief that good design is a sign of respect for those who will purchase, own, and use the product.
