Explore environments where thoughtful design shapes how care is experienced.

Design Days 2026

At the center of our space is a simple belief: design is the quietest form of care™. It doesn’t announce itself; it’s felt. In every detail, design becomes a silent gesture of compassion that supports patients, guests, and caregivers in equal measure. Within our showroom, you will find elevated environments that span multiple applications and needs. Each environment tells a story through bold colors, refined materials, and intentional layouts, demonstrating how thoughtful design transforms healthcare spaces. From patient to guest to caregiver, every perspective is considered, every detail with purpose.

We can’t wait to see you!

Arrival waiting

This space demonstrates how health systems can create an environment that feels welcoming, intentional, and reflective of the care being delivered. As one of the first spaces encountered, it reinforces the idea that design is the quietest form of care, shaping first impressions and setting the tone for the experience ahead. Arrival spaces show how interior design can serve as an extension of both a health system’s brand and the character of the community it serves. Thoughtfully selected materials help establish a sense of trust and quality from the moment visitors arrive. Active waiting elements support a range of user needs, allowing individuals to choose how they spend their time through a variety of seating options, from more open settings to spaces with added privacy and acoustic solutions. A large digital wall reinforces the overall experience, drawing inspiration from the Carolina brand and visual identity to create subtle, but meaningful connections.

Pediatric waiting

Pediatric waiting spaces should be designed to create a more supportive waiting experience for children and the adults caring for them. Thoughtful planning allows children to have a space of their own while remaining easily visible to parents and caregivers nearby, helping with both reassurance and independence. A range of appropriately sized seating supports comfort across ages, while integrated storage keeps toys, books, and activities accessible and organized. The result is a family-centered environment that helps make waiting feel more manageable and engaging.

Secondary waiting

Secondary waiting spaces are waiting areas located beyond the primary entry point in healthcare facilities, often adjacent to clinical zones or patient care areas. These spaces serve as transitional areas for patients and guests, supporting shorter stays while maintaining proximity to care teams.

Designed with the needs of multiple user groups in mind, secondary waiting areas incorporate a variety of seating options promoting comfort, autonomy, and a sense of ease while reinforcing the overall patient and guest experience.

DESIGN DAYS 2026
Liz Flores is a Chicago-based painter and muralist whose work explores the human experience through abstract figures, line, and form. Influenced by storytelling, community, and her perspective on womanhood, her paintings invite personal interpretation, leaving space for viewers to see themselves within each piece.

Rooted in the belief that design is a reflection of lived experience, Liz's work aligns with OFS' commitment to created spaces that support connection. Her custom pieces in our showroom are an extension of that shared vision, where art and settings come together to evoke a sense of belonging.
