Carolina Explores “Design is the Quietest Form of Care™” at Design Days 2026

High Point, NC  — June, 2 2026Carolina, an OFS company, invites designers, healthcare leaders, and industry partners to experience “Design is the quietest form of care™” during Design Days on June 7–10, at the OFS Chicago showroom located at 1115 W. Fulton Market, Chicago, Illinois.

At the center of Carolina’s showroom experience is the belief that thoughtful healthcare design is an act of care in itself. Through intentional details, immersive environments, and storytelling, Carolina demonstrates how design can support patients, families, guests, and caregivers throughout the care journey.

Design is the Quietest Form of Care
Design is the quietest form of care™ invites people to see healthcare environments differently. Every material, color palette, layout, and product choice has the power to help people feel comfortable, supported, and at ease. When design works thoughtfully in the background, it becomes an extension of care.
- Stan Gray, VP of Healthcare at Carolina

Throughout the showroom, visitors will experience a series of interconnected spaces that reflect a range of healthcare settings and user needs. Custom artwork by Chicago-based painter and muralist Liz Flores adds another layer of storytelling, exploring themes of connection, community, and the human experience.

The showroom journey includes arrival and waiting spaces, community commons areas, pediatric settings, elevated exam rooms, specialty care and wellness suites, a labor and delivery patient suite, and secondary waiting environments. A fully realized patient suite anchors the experience, demonstrating how clinical performance and hospitality-inspired comfort can coexist. Together, these spaces highlight how thoughtful design can improve comfort, support caregiver workflows, and create meaningful moments of connection.

Featured introductions at Design Days

Bokeh
Designed in partnership with Studio Webb, Bokeh blends the comfort of lounge seating with the performance required for healthcare environments. Inspired by the soft blur effect in photography, the collection brings warmth and hospitality into waiting areas, clinical spaces, wellness settings, and public environments.

In the Fold
Created for spaces that need flexibility throughout the day, In The Fold offers adaptable seating for healthcare, workplace, education, and multipurpose environments. The folding chair and storage solution provides additional seating when needed, then stores away easily as spaces transition and reset.

ROOM x Carolina Phone Booth
Combining expertise in acoustic privacy and healthcare design, ROOM and Carolina introduce a smarter approach to focused, private spaces within healthcare settings. The ROOM x Carolina Phone Booth supports quiet conversations, virtual meetings, focused work, and moments of respite while enhancing flexibility in high-traffic environments.

Experience care through design
Every space within the Carolina showroom reflects how thoughtful design can shape the way people feel, connect, and heal. From arrival to patient care spaces, visitors will discover how intentional environments can create experiences that feel welcoming, supportive, and deeply human — because sometimes the most meaningful care speaks quietly.
