OFS is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and hard-working Digital Marketing Intern to join our marketing team. As an intern, you will be gaining hands-on experience in the digital marketing space while working closely with our Social Media Manager, Digital Strategist, and Senior Media Manager.

This is an opportunity for a college student to gain marketing experience in social media, email, public relations, event marketing, content creation, data analytics, website management, SEO, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in content brainstorming sessions to assist with campaign ideas and digital marketing strategy.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure “on brand” content and messaging.
  • Assist with managing the digital planning calendar in Asana.
  • Create content including photos and videos and write copy for social media.
  • Distribute social media and email publishing across brands ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging.
  • Design and present new social media and email ideas.
  • Recommend, manage, and refine Pinterest strategy and best practices.
  • Assist with engagement and relationship management across our social media platforms for brands and regional accounts.
  • Assist in the creation of website pages, newsroom articles, insights articles, and press releases.
  • Assist with Imagine Place Production activities including attending events, podcast planning, editing, and distribution.
  • Act as a production assistant at podcast roundtables and video shoots.
  • Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends and competitors for social media and email marketing.
  • Support the digital team during photoshoots and content creation leading up to events.
  • Assist with the personal brand management of leadership on Linkedin.
  • Measure and report results of marketing initiatives.
  • Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.
  • Exposed to a variety of marketing and sales roles within OFS.
  • Attend client meetings to learn and gain exposure to relationship building and client management.
  • Communicate in weekly sync-ups with your manager to discuss barriers, challenges, projects, and more.

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
  • Must be resourceful, responsible, and willing to take initiative.
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Basic skills in photography, image/video editing, and graphic design.

 

Knowledge and skills that are a plus

  • Familiarity with organization/planning tools (Asana, Miro).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (Final Cut, CapCut, Inshot, Splice).
  • Familiarity with podcast editing tools (Descript).

 

Education and experience requirements

  • Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Prior internship experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Meet, Slides, Docs, Sheets).
  • Experience with social media platforms (Pinterest, Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)

 

Work hours, benefits, and perks

  • Paid Summer Internship.
  • Start Date: ASAP
    • From September through December
    • Approximately 20 hours/week for 12-14 weeks.
