Job Overview:

The Sign Shop Manager will be responsible for creating a variety of signs, banners, and graphics to meet customer specifications. This role requires a combination of creative design skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sign Production:
    • Design and produce high-quality signs, banners, vehicle graphics, and other visual communication products.
    • Operate and maintain sign-making equipment, including vinyl plotters, large-format printers, and laminators.
    • Perform vinyl installation on various substrates and surfaces, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Consult with customers to determine their sign needs and provide expert recommendations.
    • Prepare and present proofs for customer approval.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products and timely service.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and supplies.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production processes.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations.
    • Address any issues or defects promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sign making, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with sign-making software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, True View, HP Flex & Cut, etc.) and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting materials and installing signs.
