Bryan Ashley Furniture Design Engineer

Bryan Ashley, a leading manufacturer of custom hospitality furniture, is seeking an experienced Furniture Design Engineer to join our team. The desired candidate must be able to work on-site at our Deerfield Beach, FL location.

Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for working with the Engineering team, Project management team,

Overseas CAD team, Quoting team and clients to modify shop drawings to satisfy customer changes (red lines) and to value engineer projects while enabling ease of manufacturing.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

• Review 2D shop drawings
• Modify 2D and 3D AUTOCAD drawings
• Review factory manufacturing reports for issues as needed
• Work with the Project Management team to help identify issues with drawings or with design
• Work with Quoting team and with Clients to offer alternative options to help hit price targets
• Be a resource to the Quality team to help identify solutions to field issues

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of furniture, kitchen, millwork or cabinetry drafting or design experience required (Hospitality experience a plus)
• Minimum 4 years AUTOCAD experience required
• Some manufacturing experience is preferred
• Furniture construction experience a plus
• Millwork construction, cabinet assembly, shop floor and/or installation experience a plus
• Drafting skills in kitchen and/or cabinetry shop drawings a plus
• Kitchen experience a plus
