Manufacturing Development

We are looking for a teammate to work with our Manufacturing Development team.  This role will combine prototyping, process development, and equipment utilization to advance new products from concept to pilot. You will work closely with R & D, Design and Manufacturing teams to design, build, test, and refine prototypes and tooling. 

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and fabricate prototypes and pilot runs using a broad range of equipment (e.g., CNC mills/turns, 3D printers, laser cutters, molding equipment, press tooling, finishing, assembly stations).
• Design and build test rigs, fixtures, and jigs to validate new concepts and processes.
• Translate product concepts into actionable manufacturing strategies
• Collaborate with Design/R&D to iterate on product designs based on prototype results and manufacturing feasibility.
• Support pilot production and assist with scale-up to full production
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; maintain clean, organized work areas and proper PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate records of prototypes, test results, tooling, and process parameters.

Skills and requirements

• Proven experience with a wide range of manufacturing equipment (CNC, manufacturing, cutting/finishing tools, assembly equipment) and with building or testing prototypes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and data collection/analysis tools; familiarity with DP/QA methods is a plus.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, pilot runs, and scale-up activities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
