HUNTINGBURG, IN, July 28, 2025 — Carolina and Mannington Commercial present Crafted for Healing, a three-part mini-series launched under the Imagine a Place podcast. Through this collaboration, Carolina and Mannington Commercial aim to elevate the voices of experts who are shaping the future of neuro-inclusive design and to provide insights for those designing environments that care for both body and mind. Hosted by Roby Isaac, Design Insights Leader at Mannington Commercial, this series continues a powerful conversation about neurodiversity, healing, and the design of inclusive environments.
“Each guest brought not only expertise but a profound sense of purpose. This is not just about design but about dignity, access, and care. Crafted for Healing is about revealing how design can create a more inclusive and supportive world for everyone,” said Roby Isaac, Design Insights Leader at Mannington Commercial and host of the Crafted for Healing podcast series. “At Mannington Commercial, we are dedicated to driving these conversations that shape design and the built environment.”
Each episode features a one-on-one interview between Roby Isaac and a guest who brings a distinct perspective to neuro-inclusive healthcare design:
- Dr. Kelly Olson, neuroscientist, speaker, and educator, provides key health and neuroscience perspectives that inform empathetic spaces.
- Dr. Kati Peditto, Senior Design Researcher at DLR Group and speaker, focuses on creating spaces that cater to neurodiversity and mental well-being.
- Alexandra Bonner, a Project Interior Designer at FCA, educator, and certified yoga instructor, focuses on the emotional and cognitive impact of design.
“Carolina is about creating healing spaces that prioritize well-being and inclusivity. The Crafted for Healing podcast continues this conversation around neuro-inclusive design,” said Stan Gray, VP, Healthcare at Carolina/OFS. “By amplifying diverse perspectives and innovative ideas, this new limited podcast series helps inspire practical solutions that will influence the future of healthcare environments and improve patient experiences.”
This mini-series was created to extend the conversation sparked at the Crafted for Healing April 2025 event, sponsored by Carolina, Mannington Commercial, Clarus, and Scanalytics. Leaders in healthcare design were brought together to spark discussion on neuro-inclusive design in healing spaces. This podcast series builds on that momentum by diving deeper into these topics, sharing expert insights and personal stories that inspire healthcare providers, designers, and others to create truly inclusive and compassionate spaces that enhance healing for all.
“Bringing together key voices from design, healthcare, and research through Imagine a Place has been invaluable,” said Maria VanDeman, Director of Design Strategy. “This series offers a platform to share knowledge, explore new perspectives, and deepen our understanding of neurodiversity. It emphasizes inclusive design as a driver of innovation and reinforces our commitment to creating spaces that support healing and dignity.”
Episodes are released on the last Monday of each month from July through September and are available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and major streaming platforms.
